743B Seat Bar

Just upgraded from a 722 to 743B. Now I'm running 90's equipment/technology, YEA!

Seems like a good unit and I'm getting to know it. One thing I'm finding out is the safety bar is loose and won't stay up. I've tried to tighten the bolt to compress the springs but they won't budge. Can I disassemble and add shims or do I need new springs? Or is there something else to try?

It’s probably just the springs.
I assume that you have springs on your seat bar. There was an option with a gas cylinder and no springs.
