Is there an adjustment to keep the handles in place when unhooking or hooking up different implements?.

There must be spring tension on the lever pivots.You may need new springs or washers under the existing springs so as there is some tension on the levers.

Yep
Just tighten up the bolts where the handle pivots, or you may need new springs or to add a washer under the springs you have. Sure sucks when they fall shut by themselves between attachments.

Your right Ken, I started to use a bungee cord.
