Hi there... new to the forum... Looks like lots of great info here! So I bought a 2004 LS180 with 6,100 hours on it. It seems pretty solid, and everything functions as far as I can tell, although a bit noisy. I believe this machine has changed hands several times now, and was originally a rental. Really have no idea how well it was maintained. No books or service records came with it. I found and downloaded the service manual, and have the operators manual on order. What would you guys suggest checking over before I start putting a lot of hours on this? Engine oil was just changed by the previous owner, but that's about it. I figured I would start with checking the hydraulic fluid level, and greasing all the zerks... but what else should I investigate or do to it?

Congrats on your purchase!
I think you are on the right track - I would do a full service: Every filter, all fluids, and lubricate everything. Replace any grease fittings that won't take grease.
I would also go over the machine for leaks and repair them. Look at all of the hoses and replace ones that are showing fraying, wear or leakage. Check that all linkages do not have excessive play or wear. Give is a good wash down, inside and out, so that if there is a leak early in operation, it should be easy to spot. Inspect all of the wiring harnesses for damage and wear.
Make sure that all gauges and warning lights are working, repair ones that are not.
You mention that it is a bit noisy - do you know where the noise is coming from?
Cheers - SR
