Problem turning right on 1980 JD 125

Hello I bought an old 125 John deere, I think it was made by Owatonna company. It has the gas engine. Does anyone know why when trying to turn right it will bog the engine down to the point of wanting to kill the engine? Turning left is not a problem, and if I ease into the right turn by going forward with the t-bar control at the same time as turning that will help. I am new to skid loaders and would appreciate any advice. Thanks

It sounds like there may be a problem in your drive motor, making it stiff or something. I can't see wear in the pump causing the engine to bog down.... You could always try swapping motors around and see if the problem changes sides.
