Problem raising and lowering rops on 240

Removed the steering levers on jd 240 to access other parts. Replaced levers with rops up and now cannot lower the rops. If I close the rops and put the levers on then I cannot raise the rops. Help?!?

Did you put the pins back in the hole in the linkage? It is very easy to think you have them lined up, but very to miss the hole.

Thanks for the info. I finally got the ROPS lowered. I appreciate your input.
