Well i have been enjoying the hell out of my new (to me) machine.....Changed the chain case oil today......got a freaking cramp in my arm after pumping 9 gallons of oil with a little hand pump. Fixed the seat...it now moves forward and back....so question 1: there is a small silver/aluminum in-line somthing on the bottom of my hyd. tank. there is another one down inside the machine on the right hand side.....are these filters????? 2: i greased the controll handle pivots. Both of mine will move freely and center themselves, but when ime full forward on both sticks, i can let one go and it stays forward and i keep traveling straight. It would be cool if and when you let a stick go, it would return to center while traveling. So when i want to turn, i find myself pulling 1 stick back to center for a smooth turn, past center for a quick turn. It looks as if there is just 1 large spring on the right hand side of the pump. I moved the sticks(engine off with cab up) and they re-center fine. Just not while in full forward....... and i cant see anything to adjust.....by the way, i used to have a case 1840 way back.......man, if i could have the case all hand controll with the power of this machine...that would be the ticket......I had to put a 2" block of wood on the back side of the lift pedal......to keep it with-in the range of my foot motion.....no biggy.....new paint and vinyl next!!! The silver tubes are in-line case drain filters for your drive motors. They have a cintered bronze element inside the aluminum tube.
It sounds like your drive controls are working correctly. On a Bobcat, if you push both levers forward and let one go, there is nothing mechanical to bring it back to center. If you let both go, they both should center.
Your pedal should adjust by loosening some carriage bolts and slinding the pedal back and forth to get the right angle.

With the range of pedal movement you may need to also replace your bushings, when they wear the pedal needs to move further but as thetool mentioned, the pedal can be adjusted with 2 bolts.
It takes very little paddle adjustment to get them comfortable, don't over do it or you will be jumping in and out trying to get them right. Been there.
My machine has 3500 hours and runs quite well, should I clean the case drain filters??? what happens if they plug?? Ray

I would clean them and replace the elements. Order two 6661807. They're not as critical as other models, but with 3500 hrs it wouldn't hurt, and you'll know it's been done. Get some #6 JIC caps and plugs to keep all the oil from draining out while you service the filters.
If they plug, first, something is probably very wrong in the motor, maybe the pump, maybe both. Pay close attention to wht it is plugged with. Black metal-cast iron, probably motor. Brass-probably pump. Silver steel-pump bearings. This is in my experience.
Second, the motor seals will blow, then the motor carrier seal will blow, then the chaincase will fill from the hydraulic tank.
I'm sure your machine is fine-don't want to scare you. =)
