I noticed the variable speed in my Melroe 600 seems different than the ones I see on other pieces of equipment. I noticed a rubber boot that I do not see in other pieces of equipment. Can you help me id.

That rubber boot on the variable speed setup is a neat little detail the 600 has its own quirks that don't line up with the newer stuff. I moved this over to the General Bobcat Skidsteer Forum where your other Melroe 600 threads are so the guys who actually wrench on these will spot it. Machine ID like this is past what I know myself but that photo is clear so someone should recognize it.

Do you think my unit is an older version?
That schematic seems to be for the older models. You can see if your serial number fits the numbers at the top of the page or not.
I did not see that component on the newer serial numbered machines but that doesn’t alway hold as much weight as it should since Bobcat has a history with doing some strange things when making changes to machines. There always seems to be some machines that have newer and older parts together almost like they were Frankenstined together.
