Well, it's in fact the pump! I should just put a stick of dynamite in it already. I pulled the hydro filters off, its Yukon gold in there. All brass, I just got the pump out now so I'm going to tear it down this weekend. If anybody has a service manual for a cat 247 and wants to sell me a copied Pump section of the manual, That would be nice. I'm just kidding, I would never break those wonderful copyright laws. But if you give me the section of manual, I'll buy your pocket lint for an agreed amount. Thanks to everybody that replied. And thanks to Bobcat Ron about the BAIRPRODUCTS website. I pick up new rear idlers. I wish they had affordable new pumps. !!

I hope its not too much damage.... Hopefully its just one swash plate and rotating group. The piggest problem is you now have brass throughout your system....
Have a look at http://www.skidloaderpumps.com or even contact him when you have the pump apart, he may be able to get your parts at a good price.
