I apologize if this question is not appropriate for this forum, but: My 2005 Mustang 2054 has been a great machine for me for snow removal, but now I'm hearing some bad grinding noises from the T-bar area when starting. I'm taking it in for a check, but I might need to know how much it is worth before my discussion with the dealer. Can I find sale/trade in value for this model. It has 1400 hours and is good shape, but I've only used for snow removal. Thanks in advance for any info. Pigdoc

The grinding sound, does this happen when the park brake is on? or does it make it when driving around?
Grinding noises are normal when the drive motors are fighting against the brake, i hope this is the issue.

While not t bar machines our 2044 & 2054 make noise from the control levers. There are bushings that mount the control linkage to the hydro that get loose and really rattle.

The noise happens when I start the unit with the brakes engaged. I have to move the T-bar around to get the starter to fully engage to start the unit. After finally starting, the unit does not track straight in relation to the T-bar orientation. Thanks,

It ill be your neutral adjustment, the noise is from the drive motors fighting against the brake.
The not tracking straight could simply be wear in the linkages,

That sounds logical, I'll see what the repair shop says. Hopefully not too expensive.

I've been avoiding replacing the heim joints on my 2060 with 1500 hours and the t-bar. Yes I need to do the t-bar shuffle to get an easy start especially when it gets cold out.
