I recently aquired a NH L555 deluxe with the Kubota diesel that would not start, Found no power to ignition switch, seat belt latch wiring disconnected, seat switch harness disconnected also found them corroded and reistor corroded. Found that main power wire to ignition switch corroded and broken of by the under hood relays. 1st Question... where is that wire supposed to be hooked up, right now just hooked up to the battery for testing purposes. 2nd question... can I bypass the seat switches and seat belt switch? What is the reistance of the resistor in the harness under the seat. Third question.... When in service mode, it does start and run, but when I turn the ignition off, the engine continues to run... is that normal? Any help at this point would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. Andy

Don't unplug the switch under the seat. That is the safety switch for your boom hydralics and bad things can happen if you stand up and lean out the front and accidently hit the boom raise pedal. To shut the engine off you have to pull the throttle all the way back. The key just shuts off the electrical syatem

Thanks for the reply. trying to get this skid steer back to life. I have found many things cobbled together/missing or broken. I am just trying to work through some of the years of neglect. Thanks again. Andy

You can go to NH's website and under parts you can find the parts breakdown for your loader. The parts breakdown is also where you will find the wiring schematics for the various versions, just look for electrical. From the schematic you should be able to find where the wires go.
