hey guys new 1835 owner here I just bought a machine runs good 188 hydraulis are strong my problem is that the bucket creeps down to the dump position, now it will stay up if you hold the control in the up position but it is constantly draining on the pump, now ive tried to search on here but wasnt able to find any info i was just woundering if anyone else has had this problem and if so what was the problem i hope to check out the control rig once my manuel shows up but i believe my problem lies in a leakys valve i just ordered a parts manuel and service manuel for my machine but have not recieved them yet any help would be greatly appriciated thanks again

Had the same problems on my 1840 found seal kits on eBay for 11$ local hydraulics shop rebuilt and pressure tested both cylinders for $120 no problems now. Also might want to check for leaky hoses.

I have looked the machine over no leaks found I wasn't sure if it's the cylinders leaking down or the loader control valve but looking at the service manual there's not much inside the LCV in the ways of o-rings or seals is there a way to test the cylinders and was it both of yours that went bad Thanks

Find some plugs that will plug the lines coming out of the valve. Raise the bucket and support it with a jack. Disconnect the lines from the valve and plug them, then release the jack. If the bucket still creeps down, it is the cylinders leaking. If not, it is the valve.

Both cylinders were seeping very little out of the end and one day moving some hay for the wife's horses oil just started spewing out of one cylinder so figured I might as well do both since the other was seeping and would probably crap out at the worst possible time.
