Greetings I just bought my first ever skid steer a Gehl 2600. It seems to be mostly there with the exception of a giant hole in the back where the engine would be. In a little bit of research it seems like I have 3 or 4 different options to power the machine. 1. Small Engine Warehouse Repower Kit $1,850+$100 or shipping Briggs Vanguard Kit 23HP 2. RepowerSpecialist Honda GX690 Kit $2,585+100 shipping: Honda GX690 26HP 3. RepowerSpecialist Kohler Repower Kit $2,985+ 100 Shipping 4. Predator 670 Engine is about $700 at the Harbor Freight + adapter for 1 inch shaft on engine to 1 7/16 shaft on drive sheave + Exhaust on Preator faces wrong way so some sort of solution+ Engine mount+ ?? 5. Try to find another used engine that could work? Anything I'm missing? What would you suggest?

I know you asked a while ago, but... I purchased a 2600 with the Predator 670 Engine from Harbor Freight. The previous owner who installed the new engine added a fuel pump, and changed the carb. He said it kept flooding and took a long time to warm up for use. My son and I replaced the original carb, and then added a fuel pressure regulator. Now it runs fine, although very hot. I may add some cooling fans for the oil cooler, engine compartment.
