I have developed a problem with my boom/bucket operation on my 04 LS 190B. It's locked up. This started as an intermitten problem, but now its not working at all. I can move back and forth, but no boom/bucket operation. I have no indication lights telling me there is a problem. I have been reading the forum about the seat belt swithces going bad, and I do have some issues with mine, but It wont even crank up if its not right so that tells me its ok. I really need some help. I have not contacted my dealer. All they have told me in the past is bring it in. Any help would be appreciated........Mike

It does sound like the seat, seat belt or seat bar switch going bad.

If the seat/seat belt switches are working, check at the solenoids on the control valves to see if power is getting to them. The boom and bucket won't work unless the solenoids unlock the valves. could be a broken or disconnected wire down there too.

Or a bad coil.

Thanks for the info jerry, that's exactly what I was checking yesterday afternoon. There are 3 solenoids. Looking down, standing outside the machine, the one on the far right has 12 volts dc on it. The middle and far left have nothing. I have an electrical schematic, and it looks to me like all 3 have 12 volts continuous. My next move is to check out the wiring. I hope its a broken wire and not the instrument panel. My dealer says they are pricey.

I would guess that the third one with 12v now is for aux hydraulic and the other two are boom and bucket. I have seen in other posts that people will if they have to, take the solenoid out and replace it with a pipe plug temporarily. could not find the solenoids on messicks although they are surely there. I did notice that the 3 spool valve is $5200.00 so don't break it.
