Need dynamite...maybe

Hey y’all, new to the forum. 1999 bobcat 763 with about 4K hours. Got a decent deal on her but have some issues. One, it’s missing safety lap bar. Two, the vice system shows only one light on and the rest are off. I need help gathering all the parts I need to be able to unlock the lift arms. ASAP. Not sure how to post pics on here just yet. So anyone who can help or want to see which lights don’t work text me 210-852-8225. Just removed engine and replaced fuel tank, becuaee the handicap gentleman who loaded it with a forklift punctured fuel tank. While I was in there I replaced all radiator hoses, water pump, all fluids and filters, installed a new 25 in light bar on front and new tail lights. Any HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. Traction unlock , valve unlock, and system activated are all off. Surprisingly the seat bar is activated. So I assume it was bypassed....911 thank you guys for any advice

At that time 1999 there were two pedal locking models - mechanical and electrical. You will always need a lap bar to work with a safe machine. Look at the hydraulic valve. How much solenoid does it have on it? If it is one, the pedals are mechanically locked. On the side frame of the machine inside the control levers, there must be rails with white plastic caps which, when pressed down, release the pedals. They are pressed by the lap bar. The lap bar has a sensor that is mounted on the left hinge on and it feeds the controller so that the lap bar is in the working position so it releases the parking brake. If there are 3 solenoids on the hydraulic valve, then there is a need for the new-style lap bar. On his left hinge there is a sensor that sends a signal to the controller and unlocks everything. You must have the buttons on the dashboard, "press to operate" and "traction lock override" To activate the hydraulics you must press "press to operate". If you press the "traction lock override", it must release the brake and the machine must move, even without the lap bar.

The machine moves forward and reverse just can’t lift the control arms. I did see the right side rail had a white plastic cap but the left side didn’t. I’m not exactly tech savvy when it comes to figuring out the safety systems. But I am trying to figure this out. Any pictures or reference would be greatly appreciated !!!!

Does the bucket move? If the bucket moves, the boom pedal is not released. I can not handle uploading photos here. I can send you a service manual, maybe I have a parts manual but I'm not sure Write an email on [email protected]

You mention there is no seat bar, sounds like one reason why the lights are not coming on is the seat bar sender. If it's still attached. put a magnet near it and see if the light goes off. If this is the issue, get a bar and stuff to make it work, i can't advise to disable the seat bar. Seat switch yes, but not the bar.
