Hello I have a Mustang 940E skid steer loader. The hydraulics have been playing up over the past months but up until last weekend it has been useable. Normally, to lift the bucket I would have pressed down on the pedal with my heel. To lower the bucket I would have pressed down with my toe. Now they have reversed. But there is very littlw power in the lift action, cannot pick up any weight at all. I have read about checking the position of the auxilliary lever and it appears to be in neutral. With everything switched off all of the spools are in alignment. However, I cannot get the auxilliary lever to move into any other position. I am thinking maybe I have a 'hydraulic lock' or trapped pressure? It appeared to finally give up when I raised the bucket to its maximum height and when it came down the hydraulics were reversed. This could be a coincidence... I then tried to raise the bucket all the way up again and it seemed like the rams over-extended (The rods were at a strange angle to the cylinder and there was some fluid leakage). I had to lever the cylinders into alignment to get them to lower again. Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what the problem could be please? Thankyou Regards, Paul

Sounds like you need to take the cylinders off and check the the pistons are tight on the rods. If a piston gets loose oil can bypass and cause weird stuff.
