I have changed one of the tilt cylinders on my 940, now it shudders and groans, when lifting and tilting, it has also affected it travelling forward. I am assuming there is air in the hydraulics now and it needs to be bled. Can anyone assist me in how to bleed it out? It is a 1990 model.

How long ago did you do the cylinder? it does take time for the air to bleed out, most self bleed, hopefully yours will in time.

A couple of months ago, maybe it has just triggered further problems. I was under the impression that they self bled as well.

It shoudl have cleared by now.
Is the reserve tank foamy? there may be an air leak allowing air to be drawn in.
Any oil leaks? these can sometimes allow air to be sucked back in.
