Model number of what brand and type of device? Is that the serial number?
 
I put it i. A parts catalog online and it came back 7753. When the dealership worked on it, the paper did say 773 and I wanted to make sure I order the correct parts.

If you are ordering parts. The model is nowhere near as important as that serial number.
there are a huge amount of serial number breaks (parts supersessions) in every model.
 
I believe it's a 773 model, but didn't understand why it was showing 7753 when I put it in bobcat parts catalog.

I put it in the catalog and it popped up as 773 as you can see from my C&P the serial number matches in the spread of 509635001 & Above
