my 440 mustang wont turn right. the last time i use it when turning was real jerky.then went to use it again. when i went to turn right it would not turn, made a weird sound like gears grinding now i do not get the nosie now, when you turn the t-handle it feels like it wants to turn but just for a sec. so i pulled thr side plate off to check the chains they looked good. so now i am thinking hydrodtats. when i jacked it up i can turn the wheels by hand. i did not think you should beable to do that.any thougt on this. thanks P.S it will turn to the left not real good put if the right side wont work it should not turn well I think

any thoughts of where i should start looking
Study the linkage between the handle and the pumps, if one side works and the other does not make sure it is not a linkage problem first. If the linkage is ok you may as well start at the drive motors and work backwards to the pumps for the trouble.

I ckecked the linkage and it look good made a small adjustment. It work good when i had it on jack stands, but when I put it back on the ground it was the same as before.dose any one have a thought as to what it would cost to re-build the hydrostat motor a ball park number? Is there a way to check it frist?
