I have a 1999 New Holland Lx565 and yesterday I had a problem Ive never had in the ten years Ive owned it. It was under normal operation for twenty minutes, and in the middle of moving a pallet I see the panel flash the Stop light and the machine shuts off. It starts up again fine, but none of the controls are responsive. The bucket pedals are unlocked but it doesnt give and power, only allows lowering. The sticks dont turn the wheels. I switch the service switch and it flashes Err02. After it idles for 1-10 minutes it shuts off. This whole time the Stop light is flashing, and the parking brake but someone stripped it so thats normal. My oil and hydo fluids are good. Have any ideas? I tried to give all the information that would be obvious, if theres some other details I could give I would gladly provide. Thanks for your help

I wonder if the engine to hyd pump coupler failed. Then you would lose hydraulic pressure and it would shut down. If it will start try the auxillary hyd even with no attachments on you will be able to tell if it puts a load on the engine.

The 02 error is fuel solenoid , I suppose the hydraulic pressure drop would have shut the power off to the fuel solenoid. You can cancel it by pressing the arrow button.

Jerry is right on his call of the coupler being the problem. The fastest way to check if that is the problem is to disconnect the hoses from the hydraulic pump and unbolt by removing the two bolts and remove the hydraulic pump. The pump is located at the front of the hydrostat pumps. Once the pump is removed you can see the shaft, in the hydro pump, the hydraulic pump was splined into. Crank the engine while watching this shaft. If the shaft does not turn then the drive plate and rear hydrostat pump shaft splines are stripped. If it turns then you may have a problem with the hydraulic pump.
