Loader will run at an idle but engine won't speed up when throttle is moved. I have pressure coming out of the fuel pump but have not checked at the injectors yet. I recently changed the fuel filter. What else do I need to check?

- One time I had the filter head plug up with a fibrous material. Had to take the whole thing apart, and go through all the nooks and crannies.
- Verify throttle cable is actually moving the pump lever?
- Air filter/ other restriction? Turbo?
Just some quick ideas.

Disconnect one of the lines going to the injectors and see if you have fuel there . Does it just idle, or idle and die? I am also agreeing with shanmar to look at throttle cable. Could be your fuel pickup maybe blocked, but I would have to say it would eventually stop if it wasn't sucking fuel.

I took the lines to the injectors loose one at a time and had fuel but when I had the line loose it would try to die. Is that normal?
I'm not that familiar with fuel injection. The throttle cable is moving.

Yeah that would make sense your cutting the fuel supply when you disconnect them from the injector. The lift pump feeds the injector pump, which kicks up the pressure to very high. Not quite sure but at the injector tip it's like 2,000 psi I believe. I could be wrong. I'm having same issue with my rebuilt head and such.

Are you maybe having an issue with one (or more) of the injectors? But I'd start with the tips from @Shanmar and first check that the mechanics are all okay such as the throttle cable etc. If ever you come to the injectors you bring em' to a diesel shop and ask them to check the opening psi and spray patterns to verify they're all okay. If they are not okay the shop might be able to help you rebuild them or find a new set on Amazon/Ebay/....

Good luck finding new injectors. I had a shop rebuild mine. The one out of three was t completely destroyed. The problem is finding the holders. The internals aren't hard to find. Mine were rusted in and had to get drilled and tapped out. I paid $130 per injector complete rebuild. Antisense the crap out of them when you reinstall them.

Ouch that's a bummer :-( I got 3 new injectors to my 643 (Kubota D1402) from Ebay within two weeks.
