Looking at an 863 for sale

I am looking at an 863 and I have a question on the right side up top is a screen with the fuel ,temp,oil preasure and hour meter. I t has a rubber visor to block glare I assume but I will be danged if I can read it all. are they that hard to see? I can barely see the bars lit for the fuel level and can not see the hours at all.

Sounds like an old BOSS style machine, the back lights i believe can go on them, is that possible?

If it's like mine, you just have a bulb burnt out (which is the back lighting). You have to take it apart to get inside. (I bet it's full of dirt/dust in there too) Cleaning in there will really help the light reflect better. It's an odd size bulb but available at Bobcat. Also, because of age, the socket that the bulb went into had rotted out and had to be replaced. Again, Bobcat has them too.
