Hello, I have a 1985 new holland L785 with the cord 3 cylinder diesel. Has been a great machine but I had a fuel line break and I replaced it. Now I have excessive air pressure building in the fuel tank so much that it inflates the plastic tank. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
Thanks In advance

have you checked to see if the cap is a vented one? if all is ok with machine leave it a bit loose till you figure it out. there is a fuel return hose that comes off the injectors , I assume that it goes back to the tank (but it might not) but that could be the source of the pressure. I have heard of people losing the fuel cap then using a gas cap from a newer style car , they are unvented and causes the problem plus it is getting warmer and that itself causes expansion.

Same cap that I have always had and there has never been a problem. But I did check and it is a vented one.
