Have a chance to buy an 89 L785. Has been painted all yellow due to "worn" paint. Original hour meter reads 31xx hours. Has Perkins diesel in it. Looks to have a slight leak down the left front inside tire. Has standard quick attach mount. Only downside that I see is I need and hydraulics for a bale squeeze. From what I gather if I look under the seat if there are 3 control valves with 1 being unused it should to be to hard. But if only 2 it's going to be expensive? They are asking $5500.

Like you noted, if it has a 4 segment spool it shouldn't be too hard to add aux hydraulics, if it only has 2, it makes it more difficult.
Hopefully someone will give more info, i don't know if they had the option of aux hydraulics, if they did, i'd suspect it would be fairly easy to add it.
If those hours a true, there is lots of life left in the engine.
