one of the problems on my L555 apparently is the fact that the small resistor built into the seat harness is broken. It's very corroded and broken in two places. Does anyone know the value of the resistor I need to replace it with? I love to shoot off to RadioShack first thing in the morning if anyone knows that information. thanks for your time.

From the service manual.

The seat harness must have a three-inch
length bulge, 1. There are two resistor-type diodes in
the T/W wire inside this harness. These resistors cut
the voltage returning from the seat switch to the
control module by 1.2 to 1.6 volt. The control module
reads this voltage drop when the operator is sitting in
the seat, and themodule is set for the next step of the
start-up sequence. If the harness does not have
these diodes, the control module will not light the
SOL (solenoid) light and will not unlock the solenoid

IF we had the current flow value we could calculate the resistance or if you can read the colors on the resistor that would be another way to figure it out. Short of that, you'll need a part number to cross reference.
