I have a l555 and let it sit for a long time, I tried to crank it and batteries were dead. Charged the batteries and finally got it cranked. It sounded fine, no funny noises. It drives forward and reverse and the sticks work. The bucket tilts up and down fine but when I go to raise the bucket it wont move. It looks like it is trying to but wont. I messed with the safety switch but that didnt do anything. Where does the safety switch go to and how can I test it? Or what else should I be looking for... thanks for the help

Check if you have power going to the seat switch
Check if you have power coming out of the seat switch when you sit in the seat
The solenoid valve is down by the control valve and you need power to it so it will open and the oil can flow.

I believe the safety switch kills the tilt and lift, so having tilt means that it isn't the safety switch. My first notion is to the linkage to the valve body from the lift pedal. Check that first, then the lift spool in the valve body itself. Maybe check the fluid screen at your right foot and make sure its not clogged up. You say that when you try to lift that it appears that it is trying, sounds like maybe the check valve might be bypassing. Does it make a noticeable sound? Does it pull the engine down?

I have a similar problem only the bucket tilt only works if I'm booming up at the same time. Release all controls and the engine drags down like it's under more of a load when it doing nothing. Do I have a stuck relief valve or a bad control spool? Or something else?

My older L785 has the solenoid only on the boom, not the tilt. So with the key off and engine running you can still tilt it. I'd look at that safety solenoid and make sure it is getting energized with the key on and seat safety switch or seatbelt switch or whatever it has activated. Mine is just jumpered so no safety switches at all. Key on and it'll work. Key off and it won't
