L553 no start issue

I have a L553 that I been trying to get to start for several months. When I go to turn the key they only thing you hear is the starter relay coil clicking. I just put a new battery in it as the other one would not hold a charge. I have it in service mode to avoid the seat safety switch. I am looking for advice on where to look next.

Try jumping the starter with a wire, if it cranks the issue is between there and the dash, if not, it's the starter/battery.
Isolate whatever you can and work from there. A jump at the starter takes a lot of stuff out.

I found the starter was the issue, so I put a new one in. It started but took a long time.
