I have had the water temp alarm go off after running today (it is approx 85deg outside) for approx 4 hours stopping about 10 minutes every hour. Fan turning cleaned any debris out between radiators - very little there Let it cool for about an hour and was able to run for 10 minutes and the alarm went off again. thermostat was removed about 20 hrs ago due to overheat alarm would go off after 1 hour of operation coolant is good level is good coolant flowing thru system Would a radiator flush be the cure? then add new coolant mix?

I would send the radiator to a shop where they can flow test it. I would also get a new thermostat and install it. Make sure the sides of the fan belt are not worn down. The belt may be tight but if it is running in the bottom of a pulley it will slip. You might also try a new temperature sender. After that all that is left are the hoses and waterpump. Has the fan been removed recently?

Thx Mike10, I will check the belt 1st, I did just remove and clean the alternator. I will replace the belt and make sure the belt is tight. If that does not fix it I will have the radiator checked on Monday. The thermostat is coming on Monday. I am not sure if the fan was removed when we did maintenance or not. Will have to inquire, why?

If the fan was put on backwards it would not push as much air through the radiator. It is a pusher fan and you should feel a good amount of air coming out the back of the radiator.
