Last May I bought a early '80's Bobcat 731. It leaked and creeped and snorted - all in all in fair to rough shape. On the plus side it had a new main pump assembly and started easily when cold. I spent a lot of time researching the repairs before I started and came across this site. Frankly, It's been a Godsend. So, Thanks very much for all the good advice provided by the members here. Yeah, I know, I didn't ask any questions, but I did find others who asked those same or similar questions and read every reply. I still have one minor oil leak somewhere but the fuel leak and major hydraulic leaks are fixed. New Battery. New main hoses, new drive pucks, slop removed from all linkages. New filters including the one in the port block. Chain case oil emptied and replaced. Parking brake repaired and working. Retrofitted the cab with hinges. All in all a couple big projects, but well worth it. Thanks again.
