Hi I am new to this forum, I have a 95 john deere 5575 ive had this unit for about 11 years or so and it keeps braking the flex plate between the flywheel and the hydraulic pumps. it happened the fist time about 5 years after owning it and it just happened again the other day. Is this a common problem with this model? has anyone else had this happen to them? This is a real pain in the neck to replace for how the pump is down in there and all thats required to pull it out. I am just wondering if its something with my unit or if others have this problem too, or if possibly something is not lined up correctly and causing it to break.

Since the machine is basically a New Holland try posting this in that forum or searching the new holland forum for similar problems.

It sounds like an engine or pump mount issue. If they have too much flex from being compressed over time, it could be allowing too much movement damaging the flex plate?
