Hello, new to this site. How difficult is it to install one of these aftermarket heaters? The machine is a '99 bobcat 773. Has anyone tried the all electric 500 watts type?

I tried one of the electric ones from auto parts store,I don't know how many watts. If you mount it up behind your head it may keep one ear warm and that's about it. There may be better ones though.

500W is not nearly enough heat. The higher the wattage the higher the amperage and toll on the electrical system. I have a 12500 BTU aftermarket heater core with three speed fan that does ok.

What is involved with installing the type that runs off of your coolant system?

Not too much there is a folder in the picture section of a 7xx bobcat with Kubota.
Here is how I did my 853 with a Isuzu.
