I have a 6635 sxt that bogs down at half speed

I have a 6635 that will start ok and after I get it running to about half speed it bogs down and has no power and spews black smoke. If I shut it down it starts fine again until I hit half speed again and it does it again. I have had lots of problems with this engine, I had it rebuilt and after I did, it started smoking white after a year or so, and now its doing this, just wondering if anyone has any ideas to get me some more life out of this engine?
