How to separate bearing / brake housing 99 JD 260

Hi I have a bad seal I am sure as I have HF leaking through the brake arm boot. I have taken the Hyd Stat motor off now I need to separate the housing to replace the seal. I have removed the bolts / nuts and removed the Hyd brake but am unable to separate the front half of the housing before the brake. Is there something I am missing? How do you separate the housing?

Ok figured it out. Had to remove a snap ring and pry the halves apart to slide bearing off out put shaft. I was trying to avoid draining the chain case but wound up having to take both halves off bad seal there too. Good thing I did. A few years back I had a drive motor and brake replaced at a local JD dealer. The mechanics screwed up big time. over tightened striped bolts on brake housing and chain case cover A bolt fell out rolled around in chain case and messed the chains up. No help from them so far. UGGGGGH!!!! probably should stop posting for now before I say some really hasty things.

Glad you worked it out, but that is pretty crappy news about the bolt that rolled around....
