On my serial plate below the seat i can barely make out the numbers 2093 then 444 on the other side. I assume the 2093 is the Serial #. Anyway to find out date of manufacture? Just curious. Thanks

I'm all but positive that is the number……..were you able to find the same number stamped on the body where I suggested? To find the age; go to the "Bobcat" website, upper left hand corner find "Our Company", a second page will appear with a drop menu of "Our Company", find "Help Center", Then "Serial Number - What year is my machine manufactured?"…..fill out the information and they will get back to you in a day or two. Let us know what you find out. I have some more info for you I'm going to put on your other thread so as not to have info spread all over.

Bobcat got back to me and said that my machine ser# 2093 was made in 1963 the first year they built the M444. I still could not find a number stamped anywhere besides the tag under the seat.

So that machine came original with a straight shaft and was updated at some point……question is …..what shaft did they use when they did the update……..
