I just bought a 262B, 2005 model, and don't have any manuals and need to know how to tilt up the cab for service.
Should be two large nuts inside cab at the front up under "the dash". Hard to describe - remove your bucket, lean into the cab, aim the top of your head at the floor, look into the left and right front corners (the "dash"), you'll see a nut, fender washer and probably a rubber weatherproofing washer attached to a big bolt on each side. I forget for sure but I think you need a 1" socket. Take those 2 nuts off and cab will lift easily - a safety latch on the right side (out by loader arm) has to be moved out of the way to bring the cab back down when you are done under there.
Hope that helps.
You're welcome. Did you get under there ok? Reason I ask is my Cat is a different model but I'm pretty sure the under cab access is the same.Thank you
I did get under there, I am working on the AC/Heat system, the previous owner ran this system without air filters and clogged up the evaporator coils with dirt. The fan bearings also got damaged. I got it all cleaned up and new fan installed today. Works well. Now I just need the front door and side windows to close the cab up. Used would be nice! I noticed a bunch of mud and crap in the bottom area, I was able to get about half of a five gallon bucket of crap out of that area, Is there a drain, if water finds its way in there? You're welcome.
