I think its a bobcat 743

If the engine is mounted longitudinally, and is a Kubota (diesel), then yes, 743. If it is a gas, it is likely a 742.

My first guess is 743, my second guess is 733. There should be a S/N plate riveted to the chassis, either in the operators area, or on the frame near the boom pivots. That would seal it.

If the s/n plate is missing, that is a whole other kettle of fish...

Its need repainted sn plate missing brought it from grays online auction
It looked like it cought on fire then repaired and repainted all the electrics are rewired

If it is a 743, the alternator is on the opposite side of what I am used to seeing.
Looking at the Bobcat parts catalog, that engine does not look like a Kubota V-1702 either... Maybe their illustrations are poor??

I don't know if it's a 743, I think it's more likely an 843. Either way it's been very modified, the pumps definitely don't look stock to me. The big giveaway for me is the main frame in front of the operator's cab, the 730/40 series machines main frame is flush with the front of the cab whereas the 843 the cab sits back a few inches...

I think you are right- pix of the 843 on line put the alternator on the correct side. The lines of the rear structure are different from a 743 as well.
