I ran our Gehl way low on diesel and now can's get it to start. After is sits overnight I can get it to run real rough for 10-20 seconds. I wonder if it could be the fuel filter. It is a 95 and likely has never had a new filter. Anyone have any ideas? Is there a generic filter I can buy? It is in an unheated shed but eh fuel is winter mix. Thanks

I don't know what filter it runs, but i'd swap it for sure! It could be really clogged after that long.

Thanks, When I look from the rear it appears that there is a fuel filter way down low. Would that be the filter or is there one somewhere else? Thanks Gene Also--is there any trick in switching it out and getting the loader primed?

If the engine is a duetz there should be a spin on filter on the left side of engine and a small screen on the lift pump on the side of the block. You might want to specify the year, make of engine, number of cylinders, ect. Every few years, applications change that can be quite different to a previous model.scott
