While searching for what's making so much noise in my chain drive, I discovered the gearbox inner cover was off and the bearing destroyed. I removed the retaining snap ring but I can't get the inner bearing race to budge. According to the manual this bearing is supposed to just be hand pressed on. I tried driving the shaft out with a hammer but there's no room for a good swing. I tried an embedded bearing puller, just sheered off the little balls. I even tried welding on the race. No luck.
Is there any way to get this off without having to pull the whole gearbox out??? I don't have a hoist nor equipment to tilt the cab.
