Gasket prices

So I am pricing head gaskets for my Wisconsin VH4D oem is over $40 each and some kits are under $20 so I'm thinking the cheap ones are no good? Sketchy at best? Anyone ever use the cheap ones… 20 versus 80 sounds good but too good to be true maybe? T I A

I have zero experience with the VH4D, but IMHO- If the engine isn't worth a set of $80 head gaskets, it isn't worth fixing.

I agree that 80 isn't bad but if I could save a few bucks I would … only if someone has had luck with the cheaper ones… I have a lot of other stuff to buy as well .. it adds up quick

why not order both and return the ones that you dont like?

I could but I'm not sure how to tell if I like or not??? If it runs after I install it I like it if it blows 30 seconds after I install it I don't...LOL

Try Rock Creek Consulting with a contact of Tim R. Stine, 814-766-3675 he is great with wisconsin and could give u advice
also has lots of parts
