The drive finally let go only on one side it didnt make a sound just died no movement at all anybody know an easy way how to tell if it is the pump or the motor?
I guess its lucky its just a shaft and sprocket, but still i bet you are up for a coupls of hundred just for those few parts, better than a few thousand for a hydrostatic pump or motor.I figured it out switched hoses from side to side motor end upon disassembling found the keyway on the shaft gone seems some prior owner never tightned the nuts enough so they loosened up and wiped out the shaft and sprocket oh yea the nut too parts ordered could have been worse Jeff
yup the sprocket was 118 the nut 18 the key 2.50 new motor (not from bobcat) 800 still beats 4500 for pumps JeffI guess its lucky its just a shaft and sprocket, but still i bet you are up for a coupls of hundred just for those few parts, better than a few thousand for a hydrostatic pump or motor.
Glad you have it sorted out.
