Hi gang. Kinda looking for a 5 ton floor jack, to make life easier and faster when swapping tracks. I don't have a dedicated forklift or another set of hands here. Rather than all the blocking and using the machine hydraulics to lift the loader, it would be nice to simply use a floor jack and then block it at the right height. Anyone find a suitable trolley jack or bottle jack to work well? Guess I am thinking that bottle jacks are just too tall and slow to be used properly for this application? So that would basically narrow it down to a 5 ton floor / trolley jack right? Only reason I haven't purchased a 5 ton floor / trolley jack yet is because they seem to get real expensive once over the 3 ton size... Thanks...
Anyway, it will let me get the Track Loader up and down safely and quickly.
