My local dealer is always trying to stick me for shipping. ALways ask for the parts to be shipped on the stock order. If Overnight shipping you WILL pay shipping, but regular stock order shouldnt. I have caught them more than once trying to sneek a shipping charge onto the bill. I always ask them what that charge is and remind them it was on the stock order, and the charge disappears. I am almost 100% certain that bobcat doesnt charge them shipping for stock orders. they dont in the automotive industry. gotta watch those dealers and your invoices.

A good 15 or so years ago, i was getting rebuild kits for a V1702 for 1k, pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets. These parts were after market, but worked just as well as OEM.

The parts I got charged shipping on took several days to arrive. The dealer said all the parts they receive are shipped UPS. Sounds like BS. Like you say I would think they receive a dealer shipment every day. From now on I’ll buy as little as possible from them.

When I need a part, my two concerns are (1) availability and (2) the total cost. If it isn't available when I need it, the price doesn't matter. After that, I do not care if the part is $1 and "shipping" $99" or the part is $100 with "free" shipping - the total cost is what matters.
