Erickson 2548 or ford cl20

I have an old erickson 2548 skid. Has the onan nhc in it now but has lots of issues and parts are getting harder to find and more spendy. Has anyone repowered one of these units. Its a late 70's early 80's unit. Just trying to figure out how people coupled the motor to the the hydro motors. Thanks

Anything can be done, you'll need to get the old engine out and measure the shaft size, height from the bottom etc. Look up soecs for the donor motor and hopefully you can make it fit. You may need to lift the motor up, but ideally stay away from the harder to alter bits like different shaft sizes.
Mounting brackets can be fabricobbled, so that's the easy part. Throttle linkages can be made too.
