Thanks for the pictures. I bought the s-750 manual from bobcat. It shows that same bracket but it doesn't show it on the machine your picture does and now I can see how high the boom piece needs to be. That engine removal tool from bobcat is $2,100.00. I am going to start to build one Sat.Pictures from the service manual.

I think they keep the price of their tools high so you'll just have them do the work. Thanks for the pictures. I bought the s-750 manual from bobcat. I just got in the house from finishing welding the engine removal tool. I quess I could call it a $2,100.00 day. Didn't have to buy any metal just used left overs from many other builds. I will try to fiqure out how to post some pictures not good with the computer. Know I need to fiqure out how to release the wheels so I can unload it off the trailer. I wonder if the put 12 volts to the brake release solenoid or it is some modified signal or maybe I can just loosen the hoses up. I sure want to pull the engine with it on the shop floor and not on the trailer. I don't have any thing big enough to just pick it up like the dealer say to. All I have is a old 941B cat track loader. I am going over to the other farm which is 15 miles away and haul it home so I can take the grapple off the Bobcat and lift the boom up and lock it.I think they keep the price of their tools high so you'll just have them do the work.
Please post some pictures when you get it made.
That tool price is just silly, i made one a few years back from scraps i had laying around.I just got in the house from finishing welding the engine removal tool. I got the 941B cat track loader haul home Sunday and got the grapple fork lifted off put in the shed hook on to the skid loader and lifted it up and skid it back to the end of the trailer backed it in the shed and used some floor jacks and blocks and got it off the trailer with out releaseing the locks. My trailer is very low with built in drop down ramps so it came off fairly nice. I hope to get the engine and hydros out this weekend. That tool price is just silly, i made one a few years back from scraps i had laying around.
You can unlock the brake the way you describe. Just be careful to not hold power on the pull coil.
The way i do it is to use a small battery, hook the black to -ve and touch the +ve to the red and white, one will make the brake snap, this is the pull. Wire the other wire to the battery and brush the pull wire over the +ve terminal, the brake is now off till you disconnect one of the wires. If you remove the hoses to the drive motors, it will roll, just do it slowly.
I use brute force to move dead ones around home. I have only released the parking brake once to allow a machine to roll.I got the 941B cat track loader haul home Sunday and got the grapple fork lifted off put in the shed hook on to the skid loader and lifted it up and skid it back to the end of the trailer backed it in the shed and used some floor jacks and blocks and got it off the trailer with out releaseing the locks. Hi , Very Cool post, Deffinectly ,,, A Time Saver !!!!!!! Have been using a Automotive Engine " Cherry Picker " hoist With Three (3) Chains .. Two chains hook to the sides of the Clyinder/ engine Block ,,, The third chain is bolted to the Right front side of the Hydrostat Pump ( This chain is a used to " Adjust The Tilt " of the whole assembly ) So it does not hit the plastic fuel tank ............ It's A Tight fit, but it does the job ..... DO NOT LET IT SWING SIDE__WAYSI use brute force to move dead ones around home. I have only released the parking brake once to allow a machine to roll.
Glad you had the gear to drag it to a suitable place to work on it, it's far easier than working on it out in the weather.
I like your idea to adjust the angle of the engine.Hi , Very Cool post, Deffinectly ,,, A Time Saver !!!!!!! Have been using a Automotive Engine " Cherry Picker " hoist With Three (3) Chains .. I never use the tool, just a chain. A long pry bar jammed in somewhere to pivot the engine hydro combo makes it pretty easy.I like your idea to adjust the angle of the engine.
Ouch, i sure hope it didn't drop far or cause and damage!
