I have a Bobcat s160, it has just about 4900 hours, I bought it new.
It's leaking hydraulic oil behind the pulley that the drive belt runs. I believe that is the drive pump input shaft seal?
I think this job can be done without pulling the engine or pumps, but it will be a pain.
You think the seal is leaking because it wore a slight groove in the shaft? Rubber getting bad with age? Or is there a major problem? Bearing going bad causing shaft to move?
I'm planning on keeping the machine for a long time yet. Any known issues I should check?
Any thoughts, advice, tips, are greatly appreciated.
Thank you
