Drive motor sprocket

Does anyone no if the the drive chain sprocket is suppose to be pressed on to the drive motor and can u run machine with out brake disc being installed
 
im sorry its a 642 bobcat with a 1.6 ford gas motor
I think the drive sprocket is a machined part of the shaft, the brake disc sits on the end of that shaft. The sprocket shaft goes into the reduction gearbox and the Hydraulic drivemotor in turn drives the gearbox. Two separate parts that bolt together. You could leave the brake disc's off but then you have no park brake.
