I am replacing the spool and sleeve on top of the Hydrostatic pump on an 853. It is one of the two spools that controls the bucket, speed and steering. The spool has a bracket on top and the joystick cable attaches to it. When looking down on the top of the original spool it has two indentation marks on the top going halfway across the spool to show you the correct position for install. When installed the indentations would be positioned so they are going across the machine. When looking down on the top of the replacement spool (part 6666211) it has only one indentation mark along the outer edge of the spool and would be positioned so the indentation is lined up going with the front to back of machine. I cant figure out if the new spool indentation mark should be facing toward the outside of the machine or be facing toward the inside of the machine. Thank you,Greg

HAS THIS REPAIR BEEN COMPLETED. IF NOT I CAN WALK YOU THROUGH IT. 853 SERVO ASSIST STEERING, IS A BITCH, CAN BE DONE.

Since Bobcat had not provided any instructions as to which way the notch in the new metered spool should face when installed, I contacted Bobcat directly. They responded back via email and said the notch on the revised Hydraulic Pump metered Spool must face the servo when installed. I am not familiar with the servo. Can someone tell me should the notch face toward the outside of the machine or toward the center of the machine? Thank you
