Thought I would share my latest nightmare. I have a 1996 753 and am new to bobcats. After repairs I went to start the machine and the key wouldn't turn. No problem. I went to the local auto parts and grabbed a universal switch. Had problems with the lift and tilt working. Found out that the auxiliary to one coil was stuck on. Removed plug and everything started working again. This machine uses a special ignition switch. To the left of the off position it bleeds pressure off the auxiliary circuit. This is the accessory position on a universal switch and it stays hot in the run position. On the bobcat switch it is only hot when the key is turned to the left. Hope this might help somebody.

Another option would have been to install a push botton to bleed off the pressure. Other machines had you turn the key to the left for glow, then to the right to start.
Glad you got your machine sorted out.
