clank noise on right side of the wheels

HI English is my second language. i hope you understand what i trying to say and very sorry of my bad english. i have bobcat s175 with 550 hours. I use to used solideal rubber tracks on my bobcat for working in mud. After while using rubber track, i hear some clank noise from right side of wheels. I think nois comes from right side of real wheel. When i drive forward, i don't hear much clank noise but when i make right turn or right 360 turned, i hear the clank noise. And I have tried forward or right turning the bobcat on lifting stand but i don't hear anny clank noise. i spin the bobcat wheels back and forward on stand. Two font wheels and left real side wheel spin about 2 inches but right side of real wheel spin more than 4". is anyone knows what the problem of my bobcat? thanks

I have heard from rental houses that use to use those rubber band tracks and had many failures that they were told that when you use the rubber tracks over tires that it is nessecary to disconnect the chains going to the front wheels or damage will occur to your chains and sprockets ---------so I would think that you have damage to your chains and sprockets and after you fix that I wouldn't run those tracks any more unless you disconnect the chains or it is going to happen again

Fishfiles thanks for the reply i have inspected front chain cover because it's easy to open but real chain cover??. Do you know of any post describing how to open the real chain cover and how to replace or fix the sprocket? thanks again.

if you look thru the skidsteer threads you will find something , it doesn't have to be your 185 , almost all the drive trains on the wheeled loaders as far as the chains and sprockets goes are the same

It sounds like your chain or sprocket is damaged. Jack the machine up and see of the hub moves in and out. It should be tight, no end play.
Can you get to the rear inspection plate? It should be reasonably easy to access.

Thank you for the reply Tazza. I got to the real plate but the sprockets are look ok. Is there any way i can adjust or tighten the chains? Or do i have to open middle plate? thanks for the help.

there is no adjustment for the chains and there is no master link , what you can do to shorten the chains is buy a master link from a supply house and grind the pin ends off a link and punch out a link , short the chain and install a master link , they do have 1/2 links also , if the chains are excessively loose then something is wrong , the chain is worn heavy or the sprockets are worn bad or the bearings on the axle or carrier sprockets are bad , the carrier sprockets are the ones under the middle plate , what country are you in

thank you very much Fishfiles. The chains are not strait. the chains slack around 1/2" or 1" down. I am going to open the middle plate and i will see what happend to my bobcat. I am in Virginia. thanks Fishfiles again.

I opened the middle plate and inspected the chain and the chain is strached. I need to buy chain , chain link tooland #80 chain adapter. Do you know of any websites i can buy cheap bobcat parts? Thanks Fishfiles.
