Does anyone know of a dealer that sells the parts substantially cheaper than the rest? My local parts guys have me fed up, and it seems like they have no parts in stock for the older models. If they are drop shipping it, I might as well buy from the cheapest!

Try Mark Webb or Utah Dyer at IM Bobcat. 801-262-0208. They are great to work with and reasonable on parts.

I'm happy with Mark at IM Bobcat, great service and great prices.
Don't limit your self to the dealer when looking for parts. I know some times the dealer is the only way to get your parts, but some of the time the dealer is just a reseller. When I was looking for a water pump and pulley for my 853 I went to the dealer first for the tune of $342 .00 plus tax and shipping.(wow). No way I'm paying that, so I started looking elsewhere. I tried the auto parts stores with no luck, I tried E bay with no luck( allthough other models where available for $77.00). That Isuzu 4jb1pk-03 motor, I guess it's not that common. Ended up looking for Isuzu industrial motors on the web and found a bunch of people selling the parts I needed. They where able to call Isuzu with the base model # (4jb1) and the ser.#. They got me the Isuzu part # and told me when the motor was made. I ordered the parts for $ 211.00 plus shipping and no tax, a savings of $131.00 not including tax. Still waiting for the parts to show up, I'll see what happens when they get here.

I'm told the 853 motor is common in reefers. But for engine parts as a whole I've found your better going to the engine manufacturer instead of Bobcat, unless you can source the part aftermarket, ie auto parts store etc.
Clearly Bobcat does not get a deal from Isuzu and just marks the part up even higher.
