I am looking at a couple of skid steers locally, both are late 80's models around $5000.00 Case 1835 C: 5000 hrs nice condition and paint, starts drives nice.. NH L455 : 2500 hrs , rebuilt diesel 100 hrs ago, newer tires Good shape runs good. I would greatly appreciate feedback, I am really only familiar w/Bobcat models I have used.

The NH l455 is a 28 hp machine rated at 1200# ROC. The Case 1835c is a 44 hp 1200# class machine. I believe the 1835's were all gas versus diesel in the NH. I may be wrong on that. On an older machine with a few hours, typically I would go with the Case in a comparison like this due to their record for durability. But here I'd almost lean toward the NH for the diesel motor and the vertical lift if all other conditional factors are relatively equal. Just take a good look at the boom condition as well as the pins, particularly the hinge pins and mounts. My $.02.
